Our winter staff are the heart of Batawa Ski Hill. We’re looking for friendly, responsible, and safety-minded people who want to help create great experiences for our guests all season long.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Notice problems and take initiative to solve them

  • Can commit to a consistent schedule throughout the winter season

+ Is there a minimum age or any other minimum requirement to apply?

An email address that is checked on a regular basis is a requirement for all applicants.

Minimum ages are as follows: Ski assistant 14 years. Indoor operations and Kitchen 15 years old. Snowmakers and lift operators 16 years old.

+ Do returning employees need to fill out an application?

Yes. You can do so by completing the Returning Employee Application form (see button on this page).

+ Will I be contacted if my application is not successful?

We appreciate the interest of all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

If applicants are not successful in the interview process, they will be contacted via email.

+ What is the hiring and onboarding timeline?

Most interviews will begin the last week of October. The hiring process for Snowmakers and Kitchen Assistants may begin sooner.

Onboarding includes employment documents and training modules completed electronically before the mandatory in-person orientation.

Orientation: Last Sunday of November.

Department specific training: First week of December.

Opening Weekend: Second Saturday of December (mid-month).

+ Are interviews done in person or remotely?

Ideally interviews are done in person and will take place at the chalet. If you are invited for an interview and require it to be done remotely just reach out with your request and we will make arrangements.
