COUNSELLOR-in-training
2-week session, aGES 14-17

We love to brag about the folks who make up our Campology Team each summer, so we thought, why not pass on some of that magic! Ta-da! – This exciting new two-week program is for campers 14-17 years of age. This program is designed to build on leadership concepts learned in the LIT program and to prepare teens to become leaders in their community. Read on for program weeks and descriptions.

CIT participants will spend their first week exploring fundamental topics related to successful leadership development such as effective leadership styles, communication, activity planning, child development, and conflict resolution. During their second week, CIT’s will work on obtaining their first aid and CPR certification with Ross Thistle at FACT Plus - First Aid and Certification.

Participants will also spend their first few days exploring healthy child development and power of building connections with campers, including receiving High Five Certification - HIGH FIVE® is Canada's quality standard for recreation and leisure programs; read all about it here. LIT is not a prerequisite for the CIT program.
