Adventure Camp, ages 5-12 (born 2021 - 2014)
1 Week Sessions - 8 sessions to choose from
Enjoy days full of adventure, exploration and creativity for campers ages 5-12. Campers have the option of brining their bikes to camp but it’s definitely not a necessity to enjoy the outdoors with us! Our general programs are designed with all campers in mind with a combination of structured/scheduled activities and the always-popular Camper’s Choice activities!
Leaders-in-Training, ages 12-14+ (born 2014 - 2012 or later)
2 Week Sessions - 2 sessions to choose from
This budding program holds a place for campers ages 12-14+, and helps to challenge them as they move into their teen years. LIT’s will experience all that our regular camp programming has to offer PLUS experiential workshops and activities that focus on self-awareness, teamwork and communication, culminating in the chance to lead camp activities for our younger campers. Those that complete the LIT programs will be prioritized for entry into the CIT program in following years.
Counsellor-in-Training, ages 14-17 (born 2012 - 2009)
One, 2- Week Session available
We love to brag about the folks who make up our Campology Team each summer, so we thought, why not pass on some of that magic! Ta-da! – This exciting two-week program is for campers ages 14-17. This program is designed to build on leadership concepts learned in the LIT program and to prepare teens to become leaders in their community. Read on for program weeks and descriptions.
CIT participants will spend their first week exploring fundamental topics related to successful leadership development such as effective leadership styles, communication, activity planning, child development, and conflict resolution. During their second week, CIT’s will work on obtaining their first aid and CPR certification with Ross Thistle at FACT Plus - First Aid and Certification.
Participants will also spend their first few days exploring healthy child development and power of building connections with campers, including receiving High Five Certification - HIGH FIVE® is Canada's quality standard for recreation and leisure programs; read all about it here. LIT is not a prerequisite for the CIT program.
