Snow School Parent/Guardian Presence Policy
To ensure the safety, comfort, and smooth flow of Snow School lessons, the following parent/guardian presence guidelines apply:
Ages 3–5
A parent or legal guardian must remain on site and close by for the full duration of the lesson.
Parents must be immediately available to assist with:
Bathroom needs
Equipment issues
Emotional support or early lesson exit
Parents should remain in the base area/lodge and be ready to return promptly if requested by staff.
Children in this age group may require hands-on support that instructors cannot safely provide while managing a group.
Ages 6–8
A parent or legal guardian must remain on site but does not need to stay close to the lesson area.
Parents must be reachable by phone and able to return promptly if needed.
These participants are expected to manage basic transitions with instructor support but may still require parent involvement.
While more independent, children in this age range still require a responsible adult nearby in case support is needed.
Ages 9 and Up
Parents/guardians are not required to remain on site.
A responsible adult must be reachable by phone at all times.
If a parent/guardian is leaving the property, they must inform the instructor at the start of the lesson.
This ensures instructors know who is available and can plan accordingly in the event of early lesson completion or issues.
Important Notes (All Ages)
Older siblings do not qualify as a parent or legal guardian for supervision purposes.
Snow School staff may require a parent/guardian to remain on site in certain circumstances, including:
