Lava Lamps

Calling all scientists! We are here today to show you how to make a super easy lava lamp at home.

Here’s what you need:

Jars or plastic cups

Vegetable oil

Water

Food colouring

Alka-Seltzer tablets

Watch what happens next!

Pro Tip: Once the alka-seltzer stops fizzing, adding another one can bring a few more minutes of engagement (and possibly even a few minutes of peaceful quiet for parents as your little ones watch the magic happen in front of them).
